I once made the perfect pickle.

It started with the freshest, AK-grown (like me!) cucumber. Then came the flavor friends: dill and garlic. Every jar was topped with a handful of jalapeno slices and doused in a potent elixir of salt and vinegar. There were a few (okay, many) imperfect attempts, but after a little bit more of this, a little less of that, and lots of puckered faces, it was perfect. 

I approach writing like making the perfect pickle. I start every project with a solid grasp of the brief but always leave room to explore, experiment, wonder, and ask questions. As a creative thinker and writer, I always keep an open mind. I’m keen on trying different things until the result is exactly right. I strive to maintain equal parts knowledge, curiosity, and creativity in everything I do.
